The obvious answer is "Why Not, it's going to be a lot of FUN!" For a little more indepth explanation, please read a little further.

We hope you will join us for Third Annual "Drive to DeFEAT Autism" golf scramble, scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2009, at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky. The purpose of the scramble is to raise money and awareness for autism treatment and family support, specifically in Louisville and the surrounding areas. We are asking for your help in either becoming a corporate sponsor, a hole sponsor, or fielding a team.

The number of children being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder has risen dramatically in the last decade. Currently, 1 in 150 children, including 1 in 94 boys, are being diagnosed. However, when diagnosed and treated early, many of these children show vast improvement, which can greatly enhance their future. Unfortunately, the cost to properly treat these children can be up to $50,000 a year, with little or no insurance money to soften the blow.

As parents of children with Autism, we know first hand about the emotions of receiving a diagnosis of Autism. Parents of autistic children often do not have any idea where to turn for educational, financial, emotional, or spiritual support. FEAT of Louisville strives to lead these families in the right direction.
